Official Tour Announcement!

And just like that, Tong and I (Duo Perdendosi) are thrilled and humbled to announce our tour schedule. 

This tour is about roots, about wandering, about the magic to be found in your own backyard.

It’s about storytelling, ours and yours. So I’ll start with a story.

We played this program this past Friday in Airdrie, one of our many homes. It was the culmination of a hard week of trial and error, of disillusionment and frustration. I won’t soon forget that concert. We found ourselves again. We said “I remember you.” We did things that only we could do. We saw tears where we didn’t expect to. There was a story about a person who loved music but whose family couldn’t afford the costs associated with that love. The story about how they saved up in order to buy the cheapest flute they could. How they remembered their mother in the music we played. How they remembered their time with their friends and heard them in the music.

I said that this is about storytelling, ours and yours. Of course you’ll hear our stories in the music, but you’re going to hear the stories of people you’ve never even met, people you might never meet. And you might hear yours too. Every time we play, the music changes, grows to include all of these stories.

Connecting with you and sharing these stories together is a great honor, and we truly look forward to seeing you in these shows. If you can’t make it, tell a friend, what the hell, tell a stranger even. Meet someone new, let’s close the gaps a little.
